Printing
PIA stands for "Printservice der Informatikdienste für Alle")
Please note: Printing a page in color costs your institute 7 Rp/page, while a page in Black&White costs 2 Rp/page only!! Therefore, we strongly recommend to set the default of our printer preferences to Black&White (see further below).
Please also have a look at print.ethz.ch. There, you can make a webprint and also check your printing costs, even the environmental costs of your print activity!
Important: Make sure that your printing cost is correct, if you notice anything unusual, please let us know.

If you need one of the VPP printers please use this path: \\green-print.d.ethz.ch

Prepaid Printing (Workaround)
Employees which are not employed under a specific Leitzahl are a.t.m. not able to print on PIA printers. Therefore they need someone who transfers a printing credit to their account.
To do so, the person who gives the credit needs to log in at print.ethz.ch
After the login you have to do the following:
- Click on Transfers in the Navigation on the left side
- Give in the amount of money you would like to transfer
- Grive in the username of the person who shall receive the money
- Click on the Transfer Butten on the lower right side
If you like you can also write a comment.
Notice:
Your Balance can be negative, that doesn't affect the transfer process. In the end of each accounting period it will be set back and paid by your Leitzahl.
