Access to your Data

If you want to access your data (e.g. T: or P: drive) from outside the ETH network (e.g. from home), you have to establish a VPN connection at first. The procedure to map a network drive from home is technically the same as the manual mapping of a network drive at ETH. In the section Paths for Windows / Paths for Mac / Paths for Linux you can find the most important network resources.

If you want to map the network drive from outside the ETH, do not forget that you have to authenticate using your nethz username and password. Otherwise the server will not recognize you. Furthermore, the username has to be preceded by "d\" to specify the ETH's domain. Example with username amuster: d\amuster
